Job Purpose and Impact
The Environmental Senior Professional will lead or assist in developing the Canada environmental requirements, procedures, guidelines, technical standards and training. In this role, you will execute global and regional projects in the areas of environmental compliance, product stewardship and sustainability. This position ensures that the organization meets federal and provincial environmental regulations, as well as corporate standards. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for environmental programs. You will partner with other leaders to embed environmental stewardship into daily operations, execute environmental compliance projects, work processes, technology systems and global programs according to schedule, scope and quality.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure environmental regulatory requirements are met.
- Drive compliance with environmental laws related to air, water, waste, and energy management.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations and other functions to help develop technical guidance and standards and conduct internal and external benchmarking.
- Build capability within operations teams through training and coaching
- Support work processes development and improvement efforts.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Travel up to 30%
- Must be legally enititled to work for Cargill in Canada
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
- General knowledge of environmental health and safety principles and standards.
- Working experience in an industrial facility, environmental/natural resources research or laboratory.
