Job Purpose and Impact

The Mechanical Integrity Engineer will provide full knowledge of industry practices and technical expertise to lead the asset integrity strategy and culture on building the foundational elements of the asset integrity model and to enhance the interaction between site and regional functions. In this role, you will guide, train and support the site stakeholders on the asset integrity model to ensure continuous improvement in the productivity of the organization's physical assets, deployment of the asset integrity program and alignment to the site continuity plan.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify emerging license needs and complex assets integrity issues to comply with legal requirements and the organization's asset integrity program and strategy and ensure smooth integration of the organization's asset integrity model.
  • Lead cost and budget process to provide asset condition information and comply with business continuity requirements.
  • Be the first point of contact to inspection companies and authorities and lead the inspection process and documentation on site including the selection of inspection companies.
  • Apply in depth knowledge to evaluate and analyze inspection and integrity reports to develop action plans, continuous improvement opportunities and eliminate bad actors.
  • Develop plans and oversee and evaluate the construction and installation of new build equipment.
  • Develop standards, leading practices and assets inspection plans to add business value and efficiency.
  • Guide the team on the asset integrity model.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • API 510, 570, 653 certifications
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
