Title:  Plant Sanitation Supervisor 3rd Shift

Job Purpose and Impact

The Plant Sanitation Supervisor 3rd Shift will provide leadership and oversight for all sanitation activities within the facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and food-safe production environment. In this role, you will supervise sanitation team members, oversee cleaning and sanitation programs, and ensure compliance with food safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for maintaining sanitation effectiveness, supporting operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring readiness for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits. The Sanitation Supervisor will also promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence while managing sanitation resources and performance to meet business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

• Execute routine sanitation operations for assigned areas, ensuring direct reports follow policies and procedures related to employee safety, food safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor sanitation performance and facility conditions to ensure cleaning, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support operational readiness, customer requirements, and plant sanitation objectives.
• Coordinate sanitation resources, supplies, chemicals, and related expenditures while ensuring proper controls and documentation.
• Develop and execute sanitation plans, schedules, and procedures to support multiple departments, processes, and shifts.
• Develop, supervise, train, and coach direct reports on sanitation procedures, food safety requirements, safe chemical handling, company values, and continuous improvement practices.
• Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance management, employee development, scheduling, and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
• Maintain accurate sanitation records, corrective actions, and compliance documentation to support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Identify sanitation, food safety, and operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions to support compliance and continuous improvement efforts.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence across the sanitation team while performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the plant

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of supervisory experience
• Minimum of two years of experience in sanitation or production management
