Location
This role is based at Cargill's Global Headquarters in Wayzata, Minnesota and currently offers a hybrid work environment with a minimum of three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days remote each week.
Job Purpose and Impact
- The Senior Professional, Real Estate and Incentives role will collaborate with internal and external resources and stakeholders to focus on and implement the credit and incentive processes and coordinate the identification and pursuit of opportunities across the assigned region (North America), with specific focus in the United States. In this role, you will provide oversight and collaboratively partner with stakeholders to gather information for initial analysis, collaborate with functional experts to explore potential qualifying activities or investments and obtain validation for a given incentive and partner with Real Estate and Incentive (REI) operations team in the administration of the program once the incentive is secured.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify and prioritize incentive opportunities that align to company strategy, activities, and priorities and drive value for the company, continuously monitoring the complex public policy environments of your region, collaborating with leadership on ethical, legal and reputation risks.
- Develop structured plans and execute pursuit of incentives opportunities effectively in your assigned geography.
- Partner with Cargill Tax, Cargill Law, Cargill Government Relations, Cargill Real Estate and Incentives (REI) colleagues, and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to incentive opportunities, leveraging external resources for their expertise and ensuring efficient use of a limited budget.
- Collaborate with our Operations team to implement clear and precise compliance processes that will be used to monitor company commitments and prepare filings.
- Assist in global efforts to continuously improve global processes and approaches, including the use of our digital credit and incentive management platforms.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise and organizational experience in public policy, economic development, capital planning, grant writing, tax or finance, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Moderate understanding and experience of tax and financial incentives in one or more U.S. State.
- Experience, in-house or consulting, pursuing strategic investment incentives and administering processes to meet government requirements.
Compensation Data
The expected salary for this position is $95,000 - $120,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
