Job Purpose and Impact
- The Senior Consultant, Core Cyber Operations – Forensics, Discovery, and Insider Investigations, supports our investigative digital forensics, eDiscovery, and insider capabilities. The Senior Consultant leads internal initiatives, trains junior team members, and collaborating closely with the internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Director, Core Cyber Operations – Forensics, Discovery and Insider Investigations, this role is pivotal in maintaining the trust and integrity of our investigative capabilities.
Key Accountabilities
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital forensics and eDiscovery investigations. They will be responsible for maintaining forensic methodologies and solutions.
With some supervision, this job supports the following functions:
- DIGITAL FORENSICS: Support the Digital Forensics Lead by performing digital forensic investigations involving identifying, collecting, analyzing digital evidence, etc.
- E-DISCOVERY: Support the eDiscovery Lead by executing eDiscovery workflows involving legal hold management, data preservation, etc.
- QUALITY & REPORTING: Support junior team members as to maintain investigation quality standards. Draft fact-based reporting of investigative findings.
- TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their forensic and eDiscovery skills and knowledge.
- AUTOMATION: Develop and deploy scripts and tools to streamline investigation operations. Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to identify opportunities for automation and improve overall investigation maturity.
- NETWORKING: Collaborate with stakeholders, including Law, Ethics & Compliance, and Core Cyber Operations, to ensure comprehensive and ethical investigations. Escalate matters which require third-party service providers to team leadership.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- FORENSIC INVESTIGATIONS: Conducts complex forensic investigations and leads liaison with employee relations team to gather evidence and understand the impact of cyber incidents.
- E-DISCOVERY SERVICES: Delivers electronic discovery services for legal purposes in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of digital forensics principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery principles and techniques.
- Industry-relevant certification(s) (e.g., GIAC GCFE, GCFA, GCFR)
Compensation Data
The expected salary for this position is $130,000 - $170,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
