Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Buyer - CAPEX will support multiple country or multiple business sourcing activities. In this role, you will execute complex procurement tasks to provide inputs to the global category team.

Key Accountabilities

Negotiate with suppliers’ big packages and manage overall project execution resolving factors and resolving factors that affect factors that affect prices, cost, with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules.
Monitor continuous regional supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Provide technical expertise in regional spend, stakeholder and procurement landscape.
Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of noncontracted materials, goods, services and supplies.
Able to lead or collaborate with category teams.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Experience as a Capital Buyer.
Experience with procurement.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with sourcing systems (Ex Ariba).
Advanced Excel knowledge.

Position Information

The expected salary for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal. At Cargill we put people first.
