Job Purpose and Impact

Lead Data & AI Security Engineer will help solidify the foundation for the company's secure use of data and AI. In this role, you will apply your leadership and knowledge of cybersecurity and data engineering practices to design, implement and maintain roadmap of data & AI security strategy. You will also lead and coach a security team of engineers to deliver highly scalable security solutions using automation.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and drive the security requirements and long-term technology roadmap for data security products and features, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
- Enforce robust data protection measures, including encryption, access controls, and policy compliance, to safeguard sensitive and regulated information.
- Partner with technology teams and business stakeholders to embed security best practices into data pipelines, management services, and operational workflows.
- Establish real-time monitoring and alerting mechanisms to detect and respond to security incidents and anomalous data access or egress.
- Oversee the security posture of data platforms such as Databricks, focusing on IAM, encryption, and secure configurations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security framework to protect AI systems and networks from cyber threats
- Publish technical requirements and guidance to support the secure and responsible adoption of AI solutions across the organization
- Ensure secure handling of sensitive data throughout the AI model lifecycle, from development to deployment, to support business innovation
- Promote awareness of emerging threats, regulatory developments, and industry best practices related to AI and data security
- Maintain and evolve the AI security technology roadmap, driving continuous improvement and adoption of secure AI methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the cybersecurity domain, with a strong track record of delivering enterprise scalable secure solutions
- Deep technical expertise in data protection technologies, tools, and best practices for securing both structured and unstructured data.
- Proven experience implementing and managing data security solutions in large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with security automation, data governance, and cloud-native capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of modern cloud security architectures and tools, including container security, CNAPP, CSPM, CASB, CIEM, CWPP, and CI/CD pipeline protection.
- Demonstrated adaptability in dynamic environments, with the ability to shift priorities, adjust strategies, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with ethical AI practices, and compliance frameworks
- Experience automating tests for LLM evaluation scenarios within CI/CD workflow
- Proven experience security engineering of AI/ML solutions in complex environments, including production-grade system
