Job Purpose and Impact
The Director, HR Business Partner – ERM Project role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of job architecture and competency models for a defined cluster of job families (e.g., Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Trading, Sales, R&D, FSQR, and select Functions). This role partners closely with business leaders, HR Business Partners, Talent & Development, and Total Rewards to build and implement job structures, profiles, and competency frameworks that support long-term talent and organizational strategies. The ideal candidate brings deep HR expertise, strong stakeholder management, and a project management mindset to drive strategic outcomes and ensure successful reintegration into a run-state HR role post-project.
Please note that this is a temporary assignment for approximately 12 months.
Key Accountabilities
- PROJECT PLANNING & EXECUTION: Leads the end-to-end execution of job architecture deliverables, including job family modeling, job profile development, position mapping, and implementation support. Ensures alignment with project milestones and stakeholder expectations.
- BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP: Partners with senior leaders and SMEs to shape job architecture and competency frameworks that support long-term talent strategies.
- PROCESS PLANNING & DELIVERY: Provides thought leadership to the planning and communication for job architecture rollout.
- STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & ACTIVATION: Partners to manage the development of people strategies that support business strategies and objectives and supports and influences key operational and strategic decisions.
- CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Provides partnership and practical solutions to drive consistent progress and resolve issues during architecture development.
- METRICS & ANALYSIS: Uses metrics and analytics to assess and validate job structures, competency levels, and implementation effectiveness.
- DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION: Drives strategic focus and action towards diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy and goals. Ensures job architecture reflects inclusive design principles and equitable career pathways.
- STRATEGY & SOLUTION CONNECTION: Participates as an active member of the human resources community, building relationships across the human resources team and provides partnership on other human resources initiatives and projects while identifying and sharing strategies and solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualificiations
- HR Expertise: Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a related HR role, with strong understanding of organizational design, job architecture, and talent management frameworks.
- Job Family Knowledge: Deep familiarity with one or more of the assigned job families (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Trading, Sales, R&D, FSQR, or relevant Functions).
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong influencing and coaching skills, with experience partnering with senior leaders and SMEs to drive strategic outcomes.
- Change Management: Experience supporting or leading change initiatives, including communication planning and stakeholder alignment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment with shifting priorities and emerging needs.
Compensation Data
Compensation
The expected salary for this position is $130-$180K. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
