This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Key Accountabilities
- Operating processing and packaging equipment and backup for various other plant production roles
- Monitor bag weights on packaging line scale
- Collect samples/perform quality testing
- Minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment in packaging department
- Mobile equipment operation including forklifts/sweeper/front-end loader/etc.
- Use of a computer in the processing office to monitor equipment in the building
- Operate forklift to empty hoppers and change out full Mini bulk bags and load bulk pneumatic/dump trucks
- Perform housekeeping duties in their area and assisting maintenance when required on PM/repair work
- Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Must be able to operate machinery
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certified
- Experience operating a front end loader
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in production or plant environment
