Job Purpose and Impact

The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for ensuring a sanitary environment by completing routine cleaning tasks and supporting overall facility cleanliness standards.

Job Type: Full Time
Shift Available: Rotative (Weekends may be required)
Compensation: $23.00 /hr - after probation period $27.06 /hr

Key Accountabilities

Perform a variety of cleaning duties including emptying garbage and recycling bins, dusting facility areas, and cleaning forklifts.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker areas, and breakrooms; identify and report any causes of leaks; and respond promptly to clean emergency spills..
Maintain paperwork, records etc. to meet business, environmental or regulatory requirements.
Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Must be 18 years or older
High School diploma or Equivalent
Prior experience in cleaning roles
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience operating a power floor scrubber
Certified in fall‑safe procedures and safe‑work‑at‑height practices
