Job Purpose and Impact

  • The Senior Team Manager Credit Risk, Credit-to-Cash - EMEA job sets goals and objectives for the achievement of operational results for the team responsible for minimizing the organization's credit risk and carrying out various credit activities, such as creditworthiness assessments, credit portfolio management, counterparty relationship management and credit reporting. This job also oversees the implementation of credit controls and policies that mitigate risk and improve financial performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS: Coordinates and reviews customer account management activities, including tracking account status, following up on overdue accounts, and assessing customer portfolio risk.
  • CREDIT ANALYSIS: Leads credit analyses and insights generation on credit trends, profitability, economics, and collections activities to ensure credit decisions are adequately informed.
  • CREDIT STANDARDS: Facilitates the development and implementation of credit control policies and procedures, ensuring effective credit standards, policies, procedures, and controls are in place and aligned across the organization to minimize credit risks, optimize cash flow management, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • CREDIT REPORTING: Leads and reviews the preparation and distribution of detailed credit research and reports to support account decision making, including the research of credit history and application of credit knowledge to decide acceptable credit lines and payment terms for new customer and supplier accounts.
  • COLLABORATION: Collaborates with internal cross functional teams and external parties to develop and implement credit strategies, maintain strong working relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • RISK MANAGEMENT: Reviews potential sources of loss and estimates of potential financial consequences to minimize the company's credit risk.
  • INDUSTRY EXPERTISE: Leads the team to stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best in class industry standards in credit management, proactively finding opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, risk mitigation, and credit operations.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT: Manages team members to achieve the organization's goals, by ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
• Fluent English language skills – written and verbal.
• Proven background in people management. 
• Team development and engagement are linked to broader department strategy.
• Proven working experience using SAP ERP.
• Previous working experience in matrix organization.
• Collaboration and partnership with stakeholders.
• Participation and leading process improvement and implementations projects.
