Job Purpose and Impact
Cargill Risk Management, a business unit of Cargill is a pioneer and leader in providing risk management solutions. At its core, our business is about working with customers to understand their commodity exposure and structure risk management (over-the-counter / OTC) products to meet their needs.
This role will be a core part of the entrepreneurial team building the Cargill Risk Management business in APAC.
Key Accountabilities
- Sales execution of vanilla and exotic financial derivatives & post-trade follow-up, ensure customers are fully aware of their daily MTM exposure and potential margin obligations.
- Develop new OTC business in Southeast Asia – with Agribusinesses and their key supply chain partners.
- Work with decision-makers on customizing hedging strategies that match their pricing objectives and risk management framework.
- Facilitate customer KYC, onboarding & documentation process.
- Provide prospects with necessary scenario analysis, and stress reports.
- Work with Trading to develop new markets & products.
- Work with Credit, Legal & Compliance on the KYC, onboarding & documentation process.
- Ensure that new transactions meet the minimum return hurdle.
- Provide sales team with new market insights and cross-selling business opportunities.
- Fully compliant with execution protocol and pre-trade disclosures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid problem-solving ability
- Collaborative and team oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to commodity markets & industry players
- Sales & Structuring experience in commodities
- Business-level proficiency in both spoken and written Japanese or Mandarin
- Shown initiative in challenging status quo and quickly adapting to change
- Interest in career progression and assuming more demanding assignments over time
