This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Account Manager (Power Systems) is responsible for developing and managing relationship with large and complex customers within a designated geographic territory or market. In this role, you will handle critical or complex products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning, business growth and expands market presence.
Key Accountabilities
• Develop and execute a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
• Build and implement business plans for each assigned account.
• Coordinate use of resource to provide value added solutions to accounts.
• Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through application-based selling with utilities (end users).
• Support supervisor and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with oil-filled distribution and power transformers, medium/high voltage equipment and/or insulating dielectric fluids.
• Commercial experience and proven ability in new business development.
• Experience working with utilities (end users) in power distribution, transmission, and generation markets.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
