Cargill Food Distribution has an opportunity available for a Warehouse worker. General warehouse position responsible for picking orders, verifying counts, shipping and receiving of product, and general housekeeping/office duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $19.50 plus $0.50 as shift differential
Shift Available: Rotating. Sunday 7am to 4pm / Monday to Thursday 3pm to 12pm

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Operate Standup Forklift and Electric Pallet Jacks

  • Pick product/Order filling

  • Scan Inventory/Rotation, Cycle counting

  • General Warehouse maintenance and housekeeping

  • Billing and filing


Requirements:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 80lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)

  • Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays with advance notice

 

Preferred:

  • Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

  • Forklift experience

  • Basic use of a computer

  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word

  • Working knowledge of inventory systems

  • At least 1 year experience in production related work

  • High School diploma or Equivalent
