Process Development Engineering Internship:

As an R&D Engineer Intern, you will experience a robust 12-week internship. During your internship you will:

  • Leverage engineering principals to design and test new or improved processes for development and commercialization
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop and scale process solutions
  • Create new, improve existing, and eliminate waste from products and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners to build and grow our businesses
  • Interact with consumers and customers to develop meaningful insights and translate them into concepts, prototypes, and commercial offerings
  • Develop technical depth and business acumen
  • Solve technical problems leveraging new or existing digital tools

Internship Details:

  • Internships are typically 12 weeks in duration. 
  • Interns are paid hourly for time worked. 
  • Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work.

Compensation:

The expected hourly rate for this position is $28.00/hour. Compensation decisions are dependent on grad date and eligibility for full-time employment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer 
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, Food Process Engineering, or related degree, graduating between December 2026 – Summer 2027
  • Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June - August 2026)
  • Geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity to Plymouth, MN 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures
  • Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
