Job Purpose and Impact

The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer will execute continuous improvements related to reliability and capital excellence efforts resulting in increased uptime and running rates and reduced maintenance costs by correct application of strategies. In this role, you will develop and maintain a data driven reliability improvement project portfolio and reliability improvement plans and implement design and build for reliability principles using the reliability excellence deliverables toolkit for projects while also developing and engineering base capital. You will support all project management activities for build projects including project leadership, project planning, project execution, project control, and business results.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support, develop and execute defined, base capital projects which includes supporting and reviewing awards bid packages for labor and equipment including contract negotiations with the procurement and legal teams.
  • Accountable for preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance optimization for value added resource utilization while obtaining decreased emergency down time from asset failure.
  • Facilitate, implement and monitor reliability centered maintenance and cause analysis for value creation and identify and develop red to green projects based on proactive strategies and follow ups to increase asset life.
  • Identify predictive tool application and understand all tools being applied in the plants, and implement, monitor and guide management of change processes according to reliability excellence principles.
  • Implement, monitor and mentor reliability elements of manufacturing excellence and be accountable for execution of deliverables within all capital projects.
  • Provide support for continuous improvement projects aligned to the operational and maintenance excellence vision and collaborate with teams to identify issues, incorporate best practices and identify solutions across multiple sites within a region or function.
  • Facilitate interactions with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience using computer maintenance management systems
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

 

Preferred

  • Certified maintenance and reliability professional
  • Experience and training with project management systems
  • Experience with budge preparation, procurement and scheduling
