Title:  Refining Operator

Job Purpose and Impact

The Process Operator will operate and troubleshoot complex issues for a series of machines and equipment with interactions of several process inputs to produce product with an in depth understanding of policies and procedures and occasional guidance, providing support to others. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all food safety and regulatory polices

Principal Accountabilities

• Review production schedules, communicate shift handoffs, and coordinate with department personnel to ensure line readiness and address operational issues.
• Monitor refining line performance, machine operation, and quality parameters; make process adjustments using D3 and Mercury systems to maintain product specifications.
• Record production data, complete required documentation, and manage recipes, shop orders, and ingredient availability through production systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalating concerns to supervisors or maintenance as needed.
• Perform product and equipment changeovers, routine maintenance, sanitation, and cleaning activities to support safe and efficient operations.
• Coordinate raw material handling, ingredient transfers, silo and bin selection, and product movement using pallet handling equipment and transfer permits.
• Monitor all refining operations, including dosing, mixing, refining, standardizing, conching, storage tanks, inbound oils, and liquid loads.
• Conduct quality sampling, audit production records, and accurately account for product transfers, spills, and production scrap.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment and perform other duties as assigned by the Refining Supervisor.

What You Will Need:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to perform basic math and have keyboarding skills for data input
• Must have a High School diploma / GED equivalent
• Must be able to complete basic troubleshooting on automated robotic equipment
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Able to work with different temperature and humidity conditions in the work area that can vary from temperatures ranging of 65 degrees F up to or exceeding 100 degrees, and very humid (near or over 80%) to ultra-low humidity (less than 40%)
• Must be able to work with noise levels up to 115 decibels requiring the use of hearing protection for most of the day
• Ability to regularly walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts in a Union environment

What Will Put You Ahead

• Manufacturing or food production experience.
• Experience operating production equipment.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and sanitation practices.
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience.
