Job Purpose and Impact

The Director, Oil & Germ Operations role will provide strategic operational guidance and direction for all production and operating facilities at our Memphis, TN location with a moderate degree of complexity. In this role, you will oversee and hold operating facilities accountable to standards for environmental health and safety, food safety and quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement and monitor employee and product safety and environmental compliance program standards and goals for a moderate complex plant.
  • Accountable for all internal and external operating and regulatory procedures on employee and product safety including strategic and tactical execution in alignment with corporate environment, health and safety and food safety, quality and regulatory functions as well as government regulations.
  • Monitor general operations and maintenance of plant equipment and executes on operational priorities for a moderate complex plant and monitors operations and quality management deliverables to ensure customer, product and quality standards requirements are met within specifications.
  • Prepares, administers and controls capital and operating budgets for a moderate complex plant to achieve short and medium term financial performance objectives set by the business and ensure accountability for meeting and controlling operating expenses and established targets.
  • Accountable for the overall operational management of a moderate complex plant to implement operational efficiency improvements including standardization of plant information manufacturing systems, quality control, safety, production reliability excellence and maintenance and operators best practices.
  • Develop plans and deliver results while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
  • Relationship management with teams in Memphis and within the functional business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Reliability and asset management experience
  • Envirnoment health & safety along with food safety & quality ownership experience
  • Budgeting and monthly expense, capital investment, and operations planning experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with people first leader engaging team members and driving results
  • Bachelors degree in engineering
  • Ten years of supervisory experience
  • Digital fluency and acumen
  • Experience collaborating with multiple parties at various levels within the organization for projects and process improvements
  • Experience with High Hazardous Process

Position Details

• Location: TN-Memphis; Relocation support may be provided
• Schedule is Monday – Friday typically from 7am to 4pm. There are also some events that might need to work on the weekends and on-call
• The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
