Job Purpose and Impact
Location: Mechelen (Belgium) - Hybrid/ flexible working but some weekly office presence is required.
Cargill's Global Trade Operations & Compliance team (GTOC) performs high quality international trade compliance processes and operations– on time, accurately and in compliance with applicable country laws.
In our GTOC team in Belgium, we have a new opportunity to work with multiple Cargill businesses across countries (France, Belgium and Netherlands) to execute routine global trade compliance operations activities, assist trade compliance projects and help to drive continuous improvement in support of business strategy and objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Validate and coordinate logistics and transportation as well as import/export transactional requirements, fulfilling regulatory requirements and executing customs clearance
- Ensure compliance with free-time demurrage and maintain relationships with standard partners
- Independently review or prepare documents to meet legal and fiscal requirements
- Manage client interaction and business partnerships to support global trade compliance, collaborating to implement solutions
- Execute trade activities, maintaining partnerships, to meet global trade compliance goals
- Perform data (management, analysis and reporting) requirements to analyze risk trends based on audits, and monitor various metrics and reports
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Secondary Level Education or equivalent
- Fluent English and French (Written & Spoken) - Dutch is advantageous but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Customs Broker License or equivalent strongly preferred
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Customs Import/Export
