Job Purpose and Impact
The Director, Energy Portfolio will grow derivatives sales activities through building and strengthening relationships with new and existing customers. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the origination and management of client relationships with producers, financial institutions and financials sponsors across the energy supply chain.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify, proactively call, initiate, onboard and develop new derivatives customer relationships within the energy space.
- Communicate risk management's value proposition across multiple levels within the customer's organization.
- Participate in planning, developing and delivering the marketing strategy for products, services and Cargill’s full product offering.
- Manage external relationships with customers, financial institutions and financials sponsors across the energy supply chain.
- Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.
- Product and fundamental understanding of energy commodity markets
- Ability to independently provide strategic business plans for go-to-market strategy within assigned portfolios and develop junior staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in either commodity trading or energy finance
- Deep understanding of derivative sales associated with commercial finance; including lending arrangements, securitizations, and intercreditor agreements.
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience
- Experience working in a regulated environment
