Job Purpose and Impact
The Site - Environmental Supervisor will provide subject matter expertise in environmental compliance and related process execution. In this role, you will help develop, implement and maintain processes and programs built to assure compliance with existing federal, state and local regulations and requirements for a medium complex operation with two or more highly hazardous processes, low serious injuries and fatality and high serious environmental events potential. The incumbent will also manage a team of EEs providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure alignment with environmental and operational goals.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and manage a team of 12 EEs, providing guidance, performance feedback, and development opportunities to ensure alignment with environmental compliance and operational excellence.
Conduct incident investigations based on incident classification and collaborate with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Lead action plans by identifying potential emergency situations, creating emergency communication plans and testing and validating the emergency action plans.
Participate and help execute audits to ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and other regulatory requirements, while mentoring the team on best practices.
Promote a strong environmental, health, and safety (EHS) culture by delivering training and educational programs, and by coaching team members on EHS practices and risk mitigation.
Lead the development and execution of emergency response plans, including identifying potential emergency scenarios, establishing communication protocols, and conducting drills.
Oversee the identification and assessment of environmental risks, hazards, and improvement opportunities, and allocate resources to effectively manage them.
Implement and monitor environmental control programs, ensuring that all measures are executed as planned and documented for compliance and continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to integrate environmental compliance into broader operational strategies.
Make personnel decisions related to hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions for direct reports, while also contributing to hands-on technical and compliance tasks as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned to support site-wide environmental and operational objectives.

Qualifications
Minimum Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience or
Minimum requirement of 1 year relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred
Confirmed ability to deliver processes effectively to optimize business resources
Solid working knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards
Strong scientific and mathematical knowledge
Strong communication skills
Ability to work with spreadsheets
Strong analitycal skills
One year of supervisory experience
