Title:  Senior Plant Finance Controller

Location: Gouda, Netherlands - Role is flexible/ hybrid working but presence at the Gouda site is required.

The Senior Plant Finance Controller will be a key member of our local leadership team at our Gouda Manufacturing site. The position holder will provide timely and relevant financial reporting and insight by acting as the Finance Business Partner to site management and our operational teams. The role holder will also provide continuous improvement of financial reporting and best practice.

Key Accountabilities

• REPORT DRAFTING: Prepares complex financial and non financial reports for internal partners, analyzing and reviewing financial data to ensure relevant information is shared in a timely and accurate manner.
• BUSINESS PERFORMANCE TRACKING: Develops reports and dashboards to track business performance against plans, budgets, forecasts and other key performance indicators.
• DECISION SUPPORT: Reviews and communicates insights based on financial analysis and research to support strategic business decision making.
• COST ANALYSIS: Reviews cost analysis for specific products, projects, or plants to better understand cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.
• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Maintains knowledge of industry trends and accounting standards, ensuring compliance and driving process innovation and continuous improvement within the department to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
• MANAGEMENT REPORTING: Leads the implementation of effective management reporting practices to improve and ensure data integrity and relevancy.
• RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Cultivates and maintains close partnerships with business leaders and business teams to understand local and regional business needs and collaborates with other finance leads to deliver on overall finance function expectations.
• RISK & CONTROL REPORTING: Reviews various complex reports including risk and mitigation controls reports, custom transaction code reports and sensitive role reports for gap assessment and cleanup activities to identify and address any gaps, vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies in an organization's control environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelors degree in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Economics) and experience in Accounting / Controllership
• Fluent English – Fluent Dutch is strongly preferred
• Experience with an ERP System – SAP strongly preferred
• Strong Excel and PowerBI skills 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance position within a Manufacturing environment 

• Able to analyse manufacturing costs and constructively challenge and influence Plant Operations & Supply Chain, identifying business opportunities to reduce costs
