Principal Accountabilities

  • Collect product, environmental, and process samples and perform laboratory analyses to support food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs
  • Conduct equipment calibrations, verification activities, and routine monitoring to ensure accurate test results and adherence to established procedures
  • Complete documentation and maintain records using computer systems and manual processes while accurately reporting findings, deviations, and corrective actions
  • Partner with production, sanitation, and food safety teams to identify concerns, communicate results, and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform job duties in a fast-paced production environment that may include exposure to wet conditions, slippery surfaces, varying temperatures, and moving equipment while following required PPE guidelines
  • Follow all safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures while working independently and maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Able to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic math and computer skills, including the ability to accurately record data and maintain documentation
  • Ability to follow detailed laboratory, food safety, quality, and regulatory procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production and operations teams
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous laboratory, food manufacturing, food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory experience
  • Experience collecting samples, conducting testing, performing calibrations, or maintaining laboratory documentation
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, USDA-FSIS regulations, or food safety and quality systems
  • Experience working in a meat, poultry, food processing, or manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
  • Consistent work history within the last 12 months
