Job Purpose and Impact

The Transport and Logistics Specialist will be primarily responsible for executing transport operations. They will identify the best solutions to ensure reliable and high-quality transportation in order to satisfy our customers.
You will regularly interact with carriers, external warehouses, and internal departments (customer service, production, logistics, sales team). They will also contribute to budget monitoring and participate in projects impacting the department.
You will report to the Director of Customer Service, Transport, and Logistics, and be part of a team of 10 people.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide transport and logistics solutions for inbound or outbound flows of raw materials and/or finished products, from pickup to delivery, optimizing the cost/quality ratio.
  • Handle the control and reconciliation of invoices from transport and storage service providers.
  • Foster long-term relationships with external transport and storage providers and participate in their evaluation.
  • Record data related to transport and external storage activities, and produce reports to support transport activity analysis.
  • Analyze and forecast transport costs, ensuring compliance with the budget.
  • Use your knowledge of the transport and logistics industry to make recommendations.
  • Other tasks may be assigned based on needs.

 

Qualifications

  • Higher education in logistics (Bac +2 or equivalent).
  • Fluent in French, with a good command of English.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Demonstrates adaptability in dynamic environments and actively contributes to change initiatives.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills, with excellent stress and priority management.
  • Naturally curious and open-minded, able to anticipate needs, thrives in collaborative settings, and seeks responsibility in a stimulating work environment.
