This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Project Engineer will supervise and execute the deployment of the facilities Capital & Expense Projects. In this role, you will be expected to design, plan, and execute routine and complex Capital Projects via Third Party Contractors and/or internal maintenance team, to improve capacity, quality, reliability, and safety.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate and integrates with other plant functions to ensure support.
- Maintain & build upon the facilities Multi-Year Capital Plan.
- Design, plan, quote, and execute medium scale projects, while meeting budget & scheduling requirements.
- Ensure work is performed following safety guidelines to ensure health and wellbeing of employees.
- Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience managing tasks across multiple crafts (electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
- Minimum of four years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Experience leading third party contractors
- Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment
- Experience using AutoCAD software
