Job Purpose and Impact
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for the material flow and storage in the maintenance parts room and the distribution of material to appropriate departments. In this role, you will work closely with other departments to ensure appropriate inventory levels of stocked parts are addressed. You will support our inventory operations, data management, research and analysis and safety and compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the issuance of maintenance and supply parts, ensuring accurate inventory transactions and corresponding system adjustments.
Maintain the Stock and Non-Stock Cage and Tool Crib in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition to ensure the efficient availability of parts, materials, and tools. - Collaborate with Purchasing, Maintenance Supervisors, and the Maintenance Planner to review current inventory levels and identify obsolete stock, ensuring an effective and relevant parts inventory is maintained.
- Receive and verify all incoming parts in SAP on a daily basis, ensuring purchase orders match the items received and that quantities and specifications are accurate.
- Print and attach inventory labels to received parts and materials.
- Stock and organize parts in their designated bins and storage locations, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials are readily accessible for maintenance operations.
- Conduct cycle counts of parts room inventory, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate required inventory adjustments with the Maintenance for approval.
- Must be able to perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory control and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
Minimum Required
- High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Being legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred
- Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset.
