Job Overview
The Production Technician II safely operates, monitors, and adjusts production and material handling equipment to manufacture, package, and move products while meeting safety, quality, and production standards. This role performs a broader range of operational tasks, makes routine process adjustments, and troubleshoots common equipment and process issues. The technician applies growing technical knowledge and sound judgment to support reliable production performance and continuous operations.
What You Will Do
- Operate, monitor, and adjust production, packaging, weighing, and material handling equipment to meet product specifications.
- Set up and change over equipment with moderate complexity following standard procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, resolving routine problems and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Perform preventive and autonomous maintenance tasks using hand and power tools.
- Collect samples and accurately record production, quality, and process data using computer systems or paperwork.
- Support other technicians by sharing knowledge, following safety, food safety, and housekeeping standards while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Work flexible schedules including overtime, weekends, holidays, or rotating shifts with advance notice.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Understand and communicate efficiently in English (verbal/written).
- Ability to use computer systems to accurately enter production, quality, and equipment data.
- At least 1 year of experience operating production, packaging, or material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work indoors/outdoors environments (heat, cold, dust, and noise) while performing physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, twisting, and working at heights (4 feet and above), with or without reasonable accommodation.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience operating and adjusting production, packaging, or material handling equipment with limited supervision.
- Comfort troubleshooting routine equipment or process issues and knowing when to escalate.
- Experience performing basic autonomous maintenance using hand or power tools.
