Job Purpose and Impact
The Bulk Loader Unloader and Rail Operator II will operate equipment or engines to bring rail cars into the yard and operate equipment for loading and unloading equipment of bulk materials from trucks, trains and barges with an understanding of policies and procedures and regular guidance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring material movement and storage operations are completed adhering to policies and procedures to ensure all safety and regulatory policies are followed.

Compensation: $20.00 /hr with $0.65 shift differential
Sign on Bonus: $1,000
Key Accountabilities
- Operate powered equipment or engines for bringing and moving rails cars into and through the yard.
- Operate control panel or switch board to control loading and unloading machine and equipment for a variety of bulk materials from trucks, trains and water vessels or tanks per regular guidance.
- Monitor loading and unloading processes and following standard operating procedures and make adjustments to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
- Perform loading and unloading manual preparations and complete loading or unloading inspections, documentation and process quality records both manually and electronically as needed.
- Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures including equipment lockout tag outs.
- Other duties as assigned
- Support a culture of zero fatality, injury and illness.
- Understand and proactively avoid environmental impact and potential risk to the businesses.
- Perform general tasks around plant with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
• Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Basic use of a computer and typing skills
• Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment.
• At least 1 year experience operating heavy equipment such as Front end loader or wheel loader
• Driver’s License
Preferred:
• Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Working knowledge of inventory systems
