Job Purpose and Impact

The Maintenance & Reliability Manager is responsible for maximizing plant reliability, equipment availability, and operational performance through effective maintenance and reliability programs. He or she wlll keep the cost at budget and continuously identify further cost optimizations. The role leads maintenance planning, asset integrity, continuous improvement, and health & safety initiatives while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

40% Reliability & Maintenance Excellence
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure asset reliability, equipment availability, and plant integrity.
• Develop and execute maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Drive reliability improvements and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement corrective actions.
25% Health, Safety & Compliance
• Lead site health and safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Integrate safety requirements into all maintenance activities.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Promote a strong safety culture and manage contractor safety compliance.
15% Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement improvements to maintenance performance and cost efficiency.
• Support asset optimization and long-term reliability strategies.
• Partner with operations to improve overall plant performance.
10% Project & Contractor Management
• Manage maintenance-related projects, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure safe, timely, and quality execution.
10% People Leadership
• Coach and develop maintenance team members.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Maintenance, Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or technical operations within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Min
Good knowledge of Dutch.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with mechanical, electrical, and structural equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of maintenance planning, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience implementing health & safety programs in an operational environment.
Familiarity with risk assessments, incident investigations, and contractor management.
Experience in food, manufacturing, chemical, or industrial operations.
