Title:  Sr Application Developer

Job Purpose and Impact

Cargill is seeking a Senior Application Developer – SAP PLM to design, develop, integrate, and support SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions that enable engineering, product development, and lifecycle governance.   This individual will work on complex solutions with minimal supervision. This developer will be joining a product team working to scale the use of SAP PLM across multiple parts of Cargill’s business. The SAP PLM Functional resource will support the design, configuration, and operation of SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. This role will support key PLM capabilities such as specifications, engineering records, document management, and integrations. This person will work on complex solutions, while advising junior developers, collaborating closely with business users, SAP technical teams, and integration teams as part of a product team scaling SAP PLM across multiple areas of Cargill’s business

Key Accountabilities

• APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Builds complex application configurations to meet user and business requirements while identifying improvements to complex application support processes and procedures.
• APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs advanced programming, configuration, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
• USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Plays a key role and keeps an open channel of communication with users to respond to complex application support requests and needs.
• APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts complex technical application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.
• STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Partners with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers and business partners to ensure configurations align with standards and project goals.
• INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Leads prioritization of incoming incident tickets and user requests.
• VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Handles positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates complex contracts.

Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience with 10-12 years of related work experience.
• Functional experience or exposure to SAP PLM
• Experience in process industry environments
• Experience with Specifications, Recipes, and Engineering Records
• Experience supporting Document Management (DMS) and Bill of Materials (BOM) processes
• Understanding of SAP PLM integrations with upstream and downstream systems
• Ability to analyze business requirements and support functional configurations
• Experience working with SAP technical teams, including ABAP developers
• Familiarity with PLM data concepts and lifecycle processes
• Effective collaboration across business, functional, and technical teams
