Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Project Manager- Data Platforms Engineering will oversee and handle the operational aspects of ongoing projects and will serve as a liaison among project management and planning, project team and line management. In this role, you will provide strategic vision, reviewing the project proposal to resolve time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing the project.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of migration and transformation projects in data and digital spaces.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Organize project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and resolve resource requirements.
- Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
- Adhere to internal and external quality standards.
- Monitor and report on the status of projects including financials, timelines and resource plans.
- Prepare leadership and steering committee materials including Powerpoints and other visuals.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with global diverse stakeholder groups; driving consensus and action.
- Coordinate testing, validation, cutover activities with technical and business stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 5 years of professionally aligned experience is typical.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management
- Experience with Project Management and Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ADO
- Experience leading projects relating to data platform transformation, data migration, middleware, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to communicate with senior leaders where needed
- Ability to discern when escalations or support is needed to keep a project on track
