Principal Accountabilities:
• Operates computerized equipment manufacturing products to meet specifications, extracts and test samples to maintain accuracy of process control and make necessary adjustments
• Read fine print from gauges and computerized systems
• Actively listening and communicating using a 2-way radio transmitter to align on day-to-day plant operations (i.e., process equipment failures, safety communications, etc.)
• Performs periodic inspections and regular sanitation of equipment and production facility to adhere to established EHS (Environment, health and safety) and FSQR (Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory) standard procedures, using hazardous chemicals, to meet specified sanitation levels required under GMP(s) (Good Manufacturing practices), FDA, and Third-party certifier guidelines and requirements
• Assures all required process formulations and documentation are complete and accurate
• Maintain the confidentiality of product receipts, manufacturing processes, confidential formulas, and procedures
• Performs light routine equipment maintenance and repairs
• Work with third party truckdrivers to ensure shipping and receiving requirements are met.
• Operates forklift and other mechanical equipment
• Interact on a regular basis with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
• Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Be 18 years or older
• High School diploma/GED equivalent
• Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 60lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic use of a computer
Preferred Qualifications:
• Forklift and similar equipment experience
• Prior experience in production related work
• Working knowledge of sanitation practices and requirements for Dietary Supplement manufacturing
