This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Supply and Demand Analytics Supervisor will lead a small team of analysts requiring general understanding of the commodities or markets. In this role, you will provide oversight guiding the research, modeling and systems analysis required to impact the strategy driving business results.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct market research using traditional and non traditional data source to provide meaningful insights to drive results.
- Develop models to capture research and adjusts the models as necessary to impact the strategy.
- Conduct analysis requiring a comprehension of the commodities or markets to provide supply and demand outlooks aligned with the strategic goals.
- Collaborate with local traders on strategic direction and advocation for trading positions using analytical data for support.
- Train and mentor new analysts to engage and develop the team.
- Other duties as assigned
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 1 year relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of supervisory experience
